Project Build-a-Butt
REHABILITATION GUIDES
Why should I work on my glutes? Glute inactivity is a problem affecting a huge amount of people thanks to the growing percentage of jobs that ask that we sit on our butts all day long. When our glute muscles switch off, we begin to overcompensate with smaller muscle groups that aren't build for the job & this leads to tightness & pain - particularly in the lower back and hip flexors.
What results will I notice? Stronger glutes = a stronger base overall and will go a long way in improving your posture & strength. The Gluteous Maximus is the largest muscle in your body and plays the biggest part in stabilising your pelvis and helping you to maintain integrity in hip movement. If you strengthen your glutes, you'll go a long way in getting rid of back pain and you'll feel stronger, not just in the gym or during a workout, but strutting down the street too!
Careful! There are a lot of articles out there that focus on "glute activation" during a work-out - but what if you can't feel those muscles in the first place? Sometimes we really have to go back to square one & retrain our minds to use the correct muscles. Click on the links above for more information
